Our award-winning client in Mid-Ulster has been in operation for over 25 years and is well renowned for their high-quality work. With more than 25 years of experience in the field, they know the industry like the back of their hands and there is no challenge too big or too small! Due to their expansion they now wish to recruit a Senior Designer to join their busy team. This is a fantastic opportunity in an award-winning company for the right person.
Key Duties/Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
- Producing detailed customer and working drawings.
- Managing workloads to meet programme objectives.
- Coordinate design drawings with the contracts team.
- Responsible for overseeing all design drawings from inception through to completion and produce as built information.
- Produce accurate design information for each contract.
- Ability to manage workloads against the contract objectives.
- Production of detailed design drawings and information using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Provide technical expertise in client and design team meetings when required.
- Complete site investigations and site measures to insure feasibility of construction.
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years recent experience in a design or architectural technical role.
- Candidates from an architectural background will be considered – training will be provided.
- Be able to work to timeframes and deadlines.
- Proficient in AutoCAD – currently version 2022.
- Previous experience of surveying & measuring existing buildings.
- Ability to manage the design of various projects within a specific timeframe.
- Technical knowledge of current building control regulations.
- Ability to liaise with other design team members to include structural engineers and consultants as well as the design team from the client side.
- Attend teams’ meetings and design team meetings on behalf of the company.
- Pro active approach to plan jobs to ensure all drawing information is distributed to design team & factory on time.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience of both planning and building control applications to local councils.
- Experience with 3D BIM software within the Autodesk package.
- Previous experience of modular construction not essential – training will be provided to suitable candidate.
- Previous experience in the provision of schedules to include windows, doors & cladding.
