Short term temporary work

MYM Recruitment are delighted to be chosen as the exclusive recruitment partner for our client who are a leading election service provider in the UK, who specialise in election management solutions.  We are currently recruiting a team of suitably skilled and experienced Election Assistants on a short-term temporary basis to work with the client’s own team, on site, in various locations in Scotland for the upcoming General Election.

There are two types of role:

Postal Vote Opening Staff & Scanning Staff.

There are many duties involved within these roles including opening, sorting, scanning and checking votes/election documents in a timely manner whilst adhering to tight deadlines.

Other basic admin. Typing duties as necessary.

Rates:

The rate of pay will be – £12.  This rate will be paid to all staff regardless of age.

Requirements:

  • You should be educated to GCSE Level or equivalent as a min.
  • You will have demonstrable good basic admin skills and ideally previous recent experience working in a role that involves admin.
  • You should have (as a minimum) basic IT skills such as previous keyboard/data input experience.
  • Candidates who have a work history in Admin and/or experience dealing with volume paperwork are particularly sought after.
  • You should be able to use your own initiative and work under minimal supervision
  • You must have fluent spoken and written English.

Aberdeen City Aberdeen – Aberdeen City Council, Committee Rooms 2 &3, Town House, Broad Street, Aberdeen. AB10 1FY 24th June – 5th July 2024 No Weekend work
East Ayrshire East Ayrshire –EAST AYRSHIRE COUNCIL, ANNEXE, LONDON ROAD HQ, KILMARNOCK, KA3 7BU 24th June – 5th July 2024 No Weekend work
Stirling Stirling – Wallace Room, Stirling Council, Old Viewforth, Stirling, FK8 2ET 24th June – 5th July 2024 No Weekend work
Clackmannanshire Clackmannanshire – 5th floor, Kilncraigs, Greenside Street, Alloa, FK10 4BW 24th June – 5th July 2024 No Weekend work
  1. Note some sites due to smaller polling numbers will work less days and less hours.
    Most sites will not work weekends though some may.
  2. Most sites work between 9am and 5.30pm though some sites may start earlier or finish later due to demand and therefore flexibility is important and late evenings and early mornings may be required.
  3. Suitable candidates must be available to work all dates requested if required.
