MYM Recruitment are delighted to be working with our client in Magherafelt who are seeking an Estimator / Project Co-Ordinator to join their Technical Department. The successful candidate will be involved in pricing precast concrete products, generally associated with civil engineering projects.
Key Duties/Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
- Reading and interpreting customer drawings, producing a breakdown of the materials required.
- Pricing bespoke products & creating quotations.
- Managing projects and maintaining project records.
- Organising and prioritising projects based on customer requirements.
- Producing manufacture drawings and any other relevant documentation for Production team.
- Producing customer approval drawings and documents relating to precast concrete drainage products and accessories.
- Carrying out surveys of buildings, products & mould and subsequently compiling associated drawings.
- Liaising with clients, contractors, consultants and colleagues.
- Ensuring work output conforms to specifications and requirements.
- Assisting with technical and drawing queries.
- Keeping up to date technically and applying new job knowledge to the role.
- Any other reasonable duties as requested by management.
Essential Criteria:
- English & Maths equivalent to Grade C or above.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Good computer skills with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office in particular Excel.
- Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise work and manage a number of tasks concurrently.
- Ability to work on own initiative but understand level of responsibility within the team.
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
- Ability to interact with a wide range of people including clients, contractors & consultants.
- Demonstrate the ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Be a highly motivated individual with initiative, self-confidence, with the drive and ability to work under their own direction or within a team of professionals.
- Be keen to develop their individual capability and career development.
Desirable Criteria:
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Experience of working in civil engineering or precast concrete manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Civil Engineering products (eg Drainage pipes/manhole/shafts/cover slabs).
- Knowledge of British Standards & Eurocodes.
- Willingness to continue personal development.
- Hold a valid Driving licence.
