MYM Recruitment are delighted to be working with a leading construction firm who are currently recruiting for a Health and Safety Officer. By joining our client you’ll support projects in Ireland (North/South) & UK to ensure clients have no health and safety or wellbeing concerns.
Key Duties/Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
- Efficiently manage workloads, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to deadlines.
- Review and assess documentation related to health and safety, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Design and maintain registers to track health and safety procedures, incidents, and compliance records.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and recommend appropriate control measures.
- Coordinate and participate in meetings with relevant stakeholders to discuss health and safety issues, provide updates, and develop strategies for improvement.
- Conduct surveys to gather data on health and safety practices and identify areas for enhancement.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form, with team members, clients, and external parties to convey health and safety requirements, guidelines, and updates.
Essential Criteria:
- NEBOSH Qualified H&S Officer
- Previous experience in a construction safety role
- Flexibility Required
- Ability to work off own initiative & Effective Communicator
- The work will involve travel to Republic of Ireland & Mainland UK.
