We are recruiting a Mechanical and Electrical co-ordinator for post contract activities in a growing and dynamic organisation. The ideal candidate will come from a building services background with experience gained with a Contractor or Design Consultancy. The candidate will assist our M&E Manager with multiple projects currently ongoing and get the opportunity to lead M&E Services coordination on a range of diverse projects
  • Lead, co-ordinate and control the M&E processes and the flow of M&E design information to ensure the timely release of information for construction activities.
  • Promote and support the timely delivery of clash free, co-ordinated services and builders work drawings.
  • Liaise closely with M&E subcontractors through a series of internal meetings and client facing meetings which you will chair
  • Support the programming of M&E works in conjunction with the M&E Sub-contractors.
  • Prior to any formal M&E technical submissions, check and review the M&E Specialists sub-contractor’s submittals to ensure they meet the M&E Specification
  • Manage, monitor and review the coordination drawings and builder works drawings approvals ensuring all information is available and approved in line with the programme and specification.
  • Filter and Manage Requests for Information (RFI’s) and Technical Query process, ensuring M&E queries are generated, transmitted to Design team and responded to within the contract timelines
  • Monitor M&E construction activities and conformance to approved designs and quality requirements.
  • Responsible for supervising the M&E installations, reviewing & resolving daily coordination issues
  • Supervise and inspect all M&E works carried out by M&E sub-contractors and confirm M&E sub-contractor defects lists are completed and signed off prior to inviting the DT to inspect.
  • Lead the Commissioning and handover phases to ensure the M&E installations are completed and validated on program.
  • Review and co-ordinate the M&E O&M, As Built and Health & Safety Information before transmitting to Design Team for final review.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Degree qualification
  • 2+ years’ experience working with a Main Contractor or in Private Practice
  • Enthusiastic, motivated individual with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess ability to work well as part of a team and independently
  • Ability to use time productively, maximise efficiency and meet challenging work goals
  • BIM/Revit Experience an advantage
  • Excellent working environment
