MYM Recruitment have the pleasure of recruiting for this high caliber 5* Establishment, who due to continued success now require a highly skilled Sales Executive, this person will be responsible for planning, soliciting, booking and coordinating hotel’s  domestic and international leisure sales. Also supporting the Sales & Marketing team in day to day activities when required.


  • Proactively managing and developing the relationship with Tour Operators, Wholesalers and Leisure  Travel Agents
  • Converting of sales leads and enquiries
  • Proactively targeting new business for hotel
  • Responsible for the contracting and re-contracting of all leisure contracts with the support of ADOSM  and Revenue Manager
  • Promoting and representing, at domestic and international trade shows and sales  trips
  • Seeking to maximise all revenue opportunities from existing accounts through strategic planning and  effective account management.
  • Participating and supporting hotel Sales teams with customer visits, site inspections and familiarization  trips
  • Managing sales and marketing projects as per business requirements
  • Providing feedback to the ADOSM and General Manager on local market conditions
  • Agreeing and monitoring departmental sales action plans
  • Understanding and implementing the hotel’s yield management strategies
  • Assisting the ADOSM with administrative tasks as and when required
  • Attending departmental and hotel meetings as required
  • Completing all required sales reports in a timely fashion
  • Maintaining all hotel standards, comply with employee handbook guidelines, also protecting and  enhancing the assets of the hotel
  • Any other duties as may be requested by Management


The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and  demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job:
  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness to qualify potential opportunities and increase  profitability of the hotel
  • Self-motivated, hardworking, customer focused and assist in developing a positive work culture
  • Must be able to multi task, great attention to detail and excellent communicator
  • Excellent grooming and presentation
  • Competent use of the computer systems such as Microsoft Office packages including Excel,  experience in using Adobe Packages and hotel property management systems i.e. HotSoft/Opera.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekend work


  • Eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland
  • Ability to communicate well in English, both orally and written, with guests and employees
  • Position requires 1-3 years of previous sales or events operational experience in the hospitality  industry
  • Educated to leaving certificate or equivalent
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages and experience in hotel property management  systems
  • Experience in wedding & events management with a minimum of two years


  • Diploma / third level education in related fields in Marketing and/or Hospitality
