MYM Recruitment are excited to be working with their new Mid-Ulster client with an award-winning tanning and bronzing range. They are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Commercial Manager to join our team. The Sales Manager will play a crucial role in leading and overseeing various aspects of sales operations, including managing promotional plans, price files, sales targets, and a team of retail merchandisers. The ideal candidate will need to be a strategic thinker, an effective communicator, and a skilled leader with a proven track record in sales management. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has a passionate & in-depth knowledge of the beauty & cosmetic industry.

Key Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

  1. Promotional Plan Management:
    • Develop and execute comprehensive promotional plans for our own brand products, aligned with the overall sales and marketing strategy.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create enticing promotional campaigns that resonate with target B2B customers.
    • Monitor the effectiveness of promotions and make data-driven adjustments to optimize results.
  2. Communication and Coordination:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for the Sales Team, providing clear communication of promotional activities and pricing.
    • Collaborate with the PSL sales team to ensure they are well-informed about ongoing promotions, pricing updates, and sales targets.
    • Address any inquiries or concerns from the PSL sales team promptly and professionally.
  3. Own Brand Sales Targets:
    • Develop, communicate, and implement sales targets for our own brand products in alignment with company objectives.
    • Monitor progress towards sales goals and take proactive measures to address any deviations from targets.
    • Provide coaching and support to the sales team to drive performance and achievement of targets.
    • 4. Sales Team Leadership:
      • Lead, motivate, and mentor the sales team to foster a high-performing and collaborative work environment.
      • Provide guidance on sales strategies, customer engagement techniques, and product knowledge to enhance the team’s effectiveness.
      • Conduct regular performance reviews, offer constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for skill development.

5.Key Account Management:

    • Foster and maintain relationships with key accounts, understanding their needs and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
    • Collaborate with key account representatives to identify growth opportunities and develop tailored strategies.
    • Monitor account performance, resolve issues, and implement solutions to enhance account satisfaction and loyalty.

6.Management of Sales Merchandisers:

    • Provide support to sales merchandisers in addressing any obstacles, ensuring they have the resources and information needed to succeed.
    • Organize bi-weekly meetings with the merchandising team to review progress, address challenges, and strategize for upcoming initiatives.
    • Review merchandisers’ reports to assess performance, address issues, and make recommendations for improvement.
    • Collaborate with sales merchandisers to ensure optimal product placement, display, and availability in retail locations.

7.Pharmacy Group Price File Management:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date price files for pharmacy group accounts, ensuring consistency and compliance with pricing strategies.

Essential Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the cosmetics industry.
  • Strong understanding of pricing strategies, margin, promotional planning, and sales techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyse sales data, market trends, and competitor behaviour.
  • Proficiency in using sales management software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Leadership qualities with a track record of successfully leading and developing sales teams.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Problem-solving skills to address challenges and opportunities in a dynamic sales environment.
