Our long-term Client is a well-established, fast paced retailer seeking to recruit a Store Manager to manage their store based in the Inishowen area. This is a great opportunity for an experienced retail manager looking to move to a new role or for a Supervisor / Assistant Manager seeking the next step in their career.

Responsible to the Store Owner and responsible for all the employees of the store the main purpose of this role is to ensure the store operates efficiently and effectively at all times and provides our customers with excellent quality products and services.

Role profile/Duties:

To achieve sales targets as agreed with Managing Director/Store Owner. To achieve a Gross Profit margin and Net margin as agreed with Store Owner. To control overheads as per Annual Budget. To ensure Management Team have been set targets on Sales, Gross Profit, Wastage. To ensure merchandising and presentation of entire store is of the highest standard at all times. To control Stocktaking procedures. To ensure the E. I.Q.A. Hygiene award is achieved annually. To ensure Customer Care Service in the entire store is of the highest standard. To encourage a good working relationship with all staff and with local community. To develop members of staff and the management team through the use of Appraisals, Training and Development Promotion etc. To have an in-depth knowledge of all legislation as it pertains to this store, in particular, Health and Safety Regulations, Employment Legislation etc. To manage and co-ordinate in-store and national promotions. To be aware and implement all information that relates to your store which helps to gain efficiencies in operation. To seek opportunities to develop yourself in relation to technical training and professional development. To discharge any other duties as may be required of you from time to time. To promote a can do attitude, demonstrating a hands on approach to managing the team.

Criteria:

Suitable applicants will have substantial Retail Management or Supervisory level experience in Grocery or high volume retail. You will have excellent commercial, visual, and customer service skills and be KPI driven. You will be experienced and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and thrive under pressure. You will have a strong Work Ethic and thrive for Success. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal). Excellent presentation skills. This role will include partaking in deliveries and heavy lifting and therefore a full clean licence is essential.
