MYM Recruitment are working with our client in Ardboe in their search for a Timber Machinist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for machining and sawing timber orders, maintenance of timber stock and loading and offloading of timber using side and front loader forklifts.
Duties & responsibilities:
- Timber Handling, Sawing and Machining
- Timber Moulder and Saw setups and tooling
- Timber Stock Maintenance and Management
- Perform general maintenance tasks as needed
- Loading and offloading of delivery vehicles
- Operation of bandsaw/cross cut saws and surface thicknesser
- Assisting customers and sales staff with customer orders and gathering up collections/delivery orders
- Keep yards and factory clean, tidy and organised
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Previous experience in timber/joinery background very advantageous
- Attention to detail and organisational skills crucial
- Forklift experience necessary
- Fluency in English
- Excellent communication skills to interact with colleagues and customers
