MYM Recruitment are delighted to be working with our new client in Eglinton who are a busy fitted-furniture manufacturing/ fitout company based in the Northwest.  Due to continuing growth, they are seeking a Trade Counter Salesperson in their showroom.  This role will require a strong combination of leadership, customer service and organisational skills to ensure both the smooth-running function of the trade and public counter and contribute to the overall success of the business.

Key Duties/Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

  • Provide excellent customer service to trade and public customers including contractors, builders and other professionals as well as the general public.
  • Address customer inquiries, provide product information, and offer solutions to meet customers’ needs.
  • Resolve customer issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Schedule and organise your time to meet operational requirements, work towards company goals and assist whenever possible to improve the operations of the company.
  • Development and in-depth knowledge of products and services offered by the company.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and product developments.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure products are adequately stocked.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing department to optimise stock levels and reduce overstock or stockouts.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies.
  • Actively promote products and upsell additional items to customers.
  • Identify opportunities for new business and customer retention.
  • Ensure orders are taken accurately and are processed in a timely manner for customer.
  • Coordinate with other departments to fill orders and make delivery deadlines.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record keeping is done for all transactions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service orientation.
